This is the first of the "Forest Song" series, and it was an unforgettable experience in the beautiful local Gisborne forest area.
The Vision Behind "Forest Song"
The "Forest Song" series is inspired by the famous Ukrainian story of Mavka, a mystical forest goddess. This enchanting tale served as the perfect muse to capture the ethereal beauty of women in nature. The vision was to create scenes that embody the essence of a forest goddess, set against the lush backdrop of Gisborne's enchanting forests.
The Perfect Setting
The local Gisborne forest area provided the perfect setting for this photoshoot. With its towering trees and serene atmosphere, it was the ideal location to create a fairy-tale-like ambiance. The forest's natural beauty, combined with the golden sequin gown and greenery headband, transformed our model into a forest goddess.
The Wardrobe
For this shoot, I provided a stunning sequin golden gown and a greenery headband to help bring our forest goddess vision to life. The shimmering gown caught the light beautifully, adding a touch of magic to every shot.
The Experience
Our model for this shoot, Ashley, was a dream to work with. Her long hair, coupled with the golden gown and the natural beauty of the forest, made for some truly breathtaking images. The light filtering through the trees added an ethereal quality to the photos, enhancing the overall magical feel.
Looking Ahead: The Next Series
While this first shoot featured a non-mama model, the upcoming "Forest Song" series will focus on pregnant and breastfeeding mamas that I already have lined up for the next shoots. I’m excited to capture the strength and beauty of motherhood, all set against the serene backdrop of Gisborne's forests.
