Every now and then, a session comes along that truly takes your breath away. When the mother of this stunning mama-to-be reached out to me for a spontaneous maternity session, I knew it was going to be something extra special. What made it even more unique was that this incredible mama’s mother is a highly talented florist, and she had an entire vision planned for her daughter’s pregnancy photoshoot.
I was beyond excited to hear about her creative idea, and I couldn’t wait to bring it to life. She crafted an absolute masterpiece—a flower-adorned chair that was truly a work of art. When I saw it for the first time, it left me speechless. Her attention to detail and artistic flair turned the session into something magical. And where better to set this beautiful scene than one of the most stunning beaches in Gisborne, Makorori Beach?
We set the flower chair right in the water, the golden waves gently lapping around it. Standing next to it, the gorgeous mama-to-be, glowing and graceful in a beautiful gown, completed the vision. It was one of those moments that made you realize how special it is to work in such a creative and emotional field, where each session can become a true work of art.
This maternity session was not only visually breathtaking, but it also had such heart. There was something truly special about capturing the bond between mother and daughter, each so proud of the other. You could feel the love and creativity in every frame, and it was a privilege to document such a beautiful chapter of their lives.
Sometimes, pictures speak louder than words, and this is definitely one of those times. Scroll through the gallery, and you’ll see exactly what I mean. I hope these images bring you as much joy as they brought us while creating them!
